Top Eggs Benedict From Your Denver Brunch Spot

August 23, 2017

Eggs benedict has been around since the late 19th century, when a Wall Street broker by the name of Lemeul Benedict needed a breakfast to cure his hangover. After he ordered toast and poached eggs with some hollandaise sauce, the Waldorf Hotel’s chef loved the dish so much they put it on their breakfast and lunch menus and named the dish after Benedict himself. Read more about the origins of eggs benedict.

While the famed dish has remained pretty much the same over a century, variations have popped up on menus across the globe allowing chefs to put their spin on this classic dish. At DJ’s Cafe, we have an entire section of our breakfast and brunch menu dedicated to eggs benedict. If you’re looking for the best brunch in Denver, look no further than DJ’s Cafe!

DJ’s Benedicts

The Classic Eggs Benedict

This is the way the Waldorf Hotel made this dish back in the day. We take two poached eggs and Canadian bacon and place them on a toasted English muffin topped with delicious hollandaise sauce.

California Benedict

We bring California to your plate! Two poached eggs with avocado and tomato are placed on a toasted English muffin topped with hollandaise sauce.

Crab Cakes Benedict

Looking to add a little bit of the sea to your plate? With our crab cakes benedict, we take two poached eggs and place them on crab cakes on top of a bed of wilted spinach, then topped with hollandaise sauce.

Smoked Salmon Benedict

This is our take on lox. Two poached eggs and smoked salmon with asparagus are placed on a toasted English muffin topped with our delicious hollandaise sauce. This is certainly a luxe treat for your brunch!

Pulled Pork Benedict

We’re putting a southern twist on the traditional eggs benedict. We take two poached eggs and house smoked pulled pork and fire roasted jalapeno peppers and put that on a house made cheddar polenta cake and top it all off with hollandaise sauce.

New Mexico Benedict

Looking for something a little spicy? Two poached eggs are placed on chorizo patties with fire roasted poblano peppers on top of house made cheddar polenta topped with hollandaise sauce.
